Volunteer Programs
Purpose
PROGRAM
The purpose of this service and training trip is to take students to a higher level of awareness of their responsibilities to raise their potential by serving this habitat and taking the leadership to develop actions that meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 14 and 15. And thus, preserve the life of the terrestrial and marine ecosystems of the Galapagos Islands.
CAUSE
Make a difference by supporting our conservation project and the Galapagos National Park, which does not have enough resources for the preservation of endemic flora, feeding of giant tortoises, beach cleaning and underwater cleaning of the islands.
Change
PROGRAM
The greatest change will begin with yourself at every step of our leadership training. You'll enjoy a totally different, practical and fun learning system in a paradisiacal place. This program is demanding, here you will face challenges as a team to build skills that potentiate your strengths to meet our goal, the preservation of the Galapagos Islands.
CAUSE
Day by day you will generate an impact in different scenarios, such as terrestrial and marine, learning about the effects that put at risk the wildlife of the species. In this way we will broaden your perspective on the true meaning of sowing hope for the planet.
Action
PROGRAM
Each moment is a new option to make significant impacts. Within the program you will combine in a single day several components that will make this experience unique:
- Volunteer Service
- Leadership workshop
- Awareness of the cause
- Recreational Activities
CAUSE
For one week you will support our conservation initiatives that will help us reach the goal of SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 15 (Life of Land) by 2030, adopting measures to prevent the introduction of invasive species, reduce significantly their effects on terrestrial and marine ecosystems, and control or eradicate priority species affecting Galapagos.
Another goal in which you will be involved is the struggle to keep beaches and oceans clean of plastic due to the impact of marine currents and human impact.
- Reforestation
- Control and eradication of invasive species
- Protection of endemic species
- Feeding Giant Tortoise
- Underwater and beach cleaning
