Imagine a place where every step you take transforms not only your view of the world, but also your own path. Amazon TEEN CAMP is much more than an adventure: it is an immersive experience that awakens purpose, leadership and passion for a better future.
In the middle of the majestic Amazon rainforest, you will immerse yourself in a powerful cause: the rescue of endangered wildlife especies. Through real challenges, you’ll develop your character, your self-esteem, and your ability to connect deeply with others. Here, in the lungs of the planet, your journey to a stronger, more aware, and engaged version of yourself begins.
Forget the theory: in this phase, you live leadership. Welcome to the heart of the action, where rescuing animals that are victims of illegal trafficking is not just an activity, it is a mission that awakens your character, your empathy and your purpose. You’ll connect with the jungle, with others, and with yourself, while facing real challenges that will test your ability to act courageously, build authentic relationships, and believe in your worth. Each adventure activity is designed to break boundaries and activate your potential, while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the field.
This phase doesn’t change you… only reveals YOU.
Explore waterfalls, play sports, go hiking at night, connect with indigenous communities, travel by canoe, and take part in missions that unite you with the team.
Observe and track animals in their natural habitat to protect biodiversity.
The Adventure begins!
Your trip starts with a destination in the heart of the Amazon. Upon arrival at the Animal Rescue Center, you will meet your team and immerse yourself in a unique experience. After an introductory tour, you’ll take part in your first training on authentic relationships, discovering how to strengthen bonds and create real connections. Get ready to meet new friends and discover your best self!
Heroes of the Jungle
You will become a true guardian of the fauna. You will learn how to take care of rescued monkeys and birds, collaborate in their feeding and cleaning, and learn about operant conditioning as a rehabilitation tool. Later, you will explore the forest, visit a botanical garden with native guides and close the day with a training on character, understanding how your decisions build your future.
Ancestral Connection
You will live a magical day with an indigenous Shuar community. You will learn about their culture, participate in ancestral dances and sail canoes as the native peoples do. In empathy training, you will discover the power of understanding and valuing other realities, while becoming a more conscious and human leader. In the afternoon, you will feed nocturnal animals and feel the jungle wake up under the stars!
Inspiration From the Field
You will learn about the care of rescued mammals and reptiles, collaborating in their feeding and well-being. You will learn about their stories, their behaviour and participate in their recovery process. Later, you will share a sports afternoon with local youth and close the day with a training on self-esteem, learning to recognize your value and lead with confidence.
Freedom & Adventure
You’ll venture into the primary jungle to free rehabilitated animals—a moment that will touch your heart. You will explore waterfalls, walk among giant trees and create handicrafts with natural materials together with an Amazonian family. You’ll experience transformative leadership training and at dusk, a night walk will reveal the hidden side of the jungle. A day you’ll never forget!
Your story, your impact!
It’s time to make a mark. You will reforest the jungle with native species as a final act of love for the Amazon. With your heart full of learning, friendships and memories, you will say goodbye to the project knowing that you were part of the change.
Your transformation story is just beginning!

The rescue center is located near the city of Puyo, in the province of Pastaza, a natural jewel of eastern Ecuador. This privileged place immerses you in the true essence of the Amazon rainforest, surrounded by crystal clear rivers, hidden waterfalls and a biodiversity that amazes at every turn. Pastaza is known for being one of the territories with the greatest ecological wealth in the country, home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna unique in the world.
Here, nature is not only observed, it is lived. It is the perfect setting to reconnect with the essentials, learn from ancestral wisdom and be part of a cause that protects life in its purest form.
During your stay at Amazon TEEN CAMP, you will live the authentic experience of the jungle in comfortable bungalow-style wooden cabins, with separate areas for men and women. Each room is shared by 4 to 5 participants and is equipped with sheets, pillows and bedspreads to ensure your rest. Bathrooms and showers (with hot water) are shared by gender, and electricity is available 24 hours a day.
We have a hammock area perfect for relaxing in your free moments, surrounded by the tranquility of the natural environment.
In terms of food, you’ll enjoy 3 basic meals a day inspired by the traditional cuisine of the region, with vegetarian options available. The menu has been designed to be nutritious, although it may differ from what you’re used to at home. We have unlimited purified water, and while we are looking to adapt to dietary restrictions, it is important to remember that there are logistical limitations when cooking in a remote environment like the Amazon. Still, we strive to provide you with an experience that is safe, balanced, and full of local flavour.

At TEEN CAMP Amazonia, we understand how important it is for families to be connected. For this reason, we maintain daily communication with parents or legal guardians through a direct line with our coordinators, who will provide updated information on the well-being of the participants, outstanding anecdotes and the activities carried out during the day.
To ensure true immersion in the experience, students’ use of mobile devices will be restricted. This measure fosters real connection with the environment, the group and with themselves, strengthening the program’s focus on personal growth, integration and conscious leadership.
The safety and well-being of our participants is our top priority. At Amazon TEEN CAMP we have a 24/7 monitoring system, with one coordinator assigned for every 10 students, which guarantees close, personalized and constant attention. Our staff is highly trained and certified in first aid and CPR, in addition to having coaches specialized in youth leadership, local guides who are experts in the area and professionals trained in the safe handling of wildlife.
From the first day, participants receive an exhaustive orientation talk focused on personal safety, respect for local customs and protocols in case of any eventuality. We follow strict rules in animal handling and have a clear and effective emergency plan in place. This structure allows us to offer an enriching, safe and deeply transformative experience.
Payment must be made no later than 1 month before the start of the program
Once you complete this form, one of our coordinators will reach out to discuss your volunteer experience and answer any questions you may have.

Each day combines volunteer missions, leadership workshops, teamwork challenges, cultural activities, personal reflection, animal rescue support, habitat maintenance, reforestation, and educational adventure experiences. The goal is not only to learn, but to live real processes that strengthen personal growth and responsible decision-making.
The rescue center operates under principles of responsible conservation and complete respect for wildlife. Animal exploitation and inappropriate interactions are never allowed. All activities follow ethical protocols established by professionals specialized in rehabilitation, protection, and animal welfare. The goal is always the recovery and conservation of each species.
