Conditions<\/strong><\/h2><p data-start=\"136\" data-end=\"165\"><em data-start=\"136\" data-end=\"165\">Last updated: June 21, 2025<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"368\">Welcome to the Ecuador Volunteer Foundation (EVF). These Terms &amp; Conditions govern your participation in any of our volunteer programs. By applying and joining our programs, you agree to the following:<\/p><h3 data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"397\">\u00a0<\/h3><h3 data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"397\">1. <strong data-start=\"382\" data-end=\"397\">Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"398\" data-end=\"585\">Participants must be at least 18 years old. Minors may join certain programs with parental consent and EVF approval. All volunteers must provide accurate personal and medical information.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"626\">2. <strong data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"626\">Application and Payment<\/strong><\/h3><ul data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"892\"><li data-start=\"627\" data-end=\"689\"><p data-start=\"629\" data-end=\"689\">All applicants must complete the official registration form.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"767\"><p data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"767\">A <strong data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"729\">non-refundable registration fee<\/strong> is required to confirm participation.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"833\"><p data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"833\">Full program fees must be paid before the volunteer start date.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"892\"><p data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"892\">All payments must be made through approved EVF channels.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3 data-start=\"899\" data-end=\"938\">3. <strong data-start=\"906\" data-end=\"938\">Cancellation &amp; Refund Policy<\/strong><\/h3><ul data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"1238\"><li data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"982\"><p data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"982\">Registration fees are <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"981\">non-refundable<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1099\"><p data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1099\">Program fees may be partially refundable in cases of cancellation made <strong data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1076\">at least 30 days<\/strong> before the start date.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1238\"><p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1238\">No refunds will be granted for cancellations made <strong data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1173\">less than 30 days<\/strong> before the start date, or for early departures from the program.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3 data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1271\">4. <strong data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1271\">Program Changes<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1479\">EVF reserves the right to modify program details, dates, locations, or activities due to local conditions, safety concerns, or operational needs. We strive to provide similar alternatives when changes occur.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1486\" data-end=\"1514\">5. <strong data-start=\"1493\" data-end=\"1514\">Volunteer Conduct<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1546\">All volunteers are expected to:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1547\" data-end=\"1732\"><li data-start=\"1547\" data-end=\"1620\"><p data-start=\"1549\" data-end=\"1620\">Act respectfully toward local communities, staff, and other volunteers.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1621\" data-end=\"1653\"><p data-start=\"1623\" data-end=\"1653\">Follow local laws and customs.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1654\" data-end=\"1732\"><p data-start=\"1656\" data-end=\"1732\">Avoid behavior that could negatively impact the project or EVF\u2019s reputation.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1859\">EVF has the right to dismiss volunteers without refund in cases of misconduct, illegal behavior, or violation of these terms.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1895\">6. <strong data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"1895\">Health &amp; Insurance<\/strong><\/h3><ul data-start=\"1896\" data-end=\"2119\"><li data-start=\"1896\" data-end=\"1974\"><p data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"1974\">Volunteers must disclose any medical conditions or allergies before arrival.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2119\"><p data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"2119\">Volunteers are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel and health insurance that covers medical emergencies and travel-related incidents.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3 data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2153\">7. <strong data-start=\"2133\" data-end=\"2153\">Liability Waiver<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2154\" data-end=\"2333\">Volunteers participate at their own risk. EVF is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages sustained during travel, participation in programs, or time spent in host communities.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2366\">8. <strong data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2366\">Media &amp; Privacy<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2367\" data-end=\"2558\">By participating, you consent to EVF using photos, videos, and testimonials taken during your stay for promotional and educational purposes unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2597\">9. <strong data-start=\"2572\" data-end=\"2597\">Visas &amp; Documentation<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2598\" data-end=\"2750\">Volunteers are responsible for securing valid visas and travel documents. EVF can provide guidance but is not liable for visa denials or related issues.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2757\" data-end=\"2782\">10. <strong data-start=\"2765\" data-end=\"2782\">Governing Law<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2783\" data-end=\"2905\">These Terms &amp; Conditions are governed by the laws of Ecuador.
